A farmer went out to sow his seed. Some fell on a hard path and the birds quickly ate it up. Some seed fell in between rocky soil and they grew up quickly, but because there was no good soil the sun scorched them and they died. Some seed was strewn into the thornbushes and as they grew were choked out by the thorns and died. Other seed feel on good soil and the plants grew well. The farmer got a harvest from those plants.
